In these glasses, "up" means seeing far or at a distance, while "down" means seeing close or for reading.
For plus (+) prescriptions: Down diopter - Up diopter = ADD.
Example: Up +1.00, Down -3.00 = +1.00 ADD +2.00.
For minus (-) prescriptions: Up diopter - Down diopter = ADD.
Example: -2.50, -1.00 = -2.50 ADD +1.50.
